Dear HIS Parents,
Our school opened normally on March 2 (Wednesday), and students and teachers have been enjoying orientation and classes while seeing each other face to face. However, while checking the status of COVID-19 each day, we found that the number of confirmed cases (currently 37) and the number of students who have stopped attending school (currently 86, 52.5%) among high school students is increasing. Therefore, in accordance with the recommendation of the Ministry of Education that we adjust school operation during the first two weeks of school while monitoring the COVID-19 situation, we have decided that high school students switch to distance learning for two days on March 10 (Thursday) and March 11 (Friday) to prevent further spread. During this period, commuting students will participate in distance learning from home, while dormitory students will participate in distance learning from the HIS library. (Elementary school students and middle school students will attend school normally.)
We promise to continue to monitor the COVID-19 situation and do our best to ensure that students learn in a safe environment. Please pray that the COVID-19 situation will be stabilized soon and all HIS members will be able to teach and learn in a healthy and joyful way.
